The best investment you can make for your dog is your time and activity together

Obedience Training can mean many different things to the average owner. For some, its simply learning manners like not rushing out the door, walking without pulling their owner, or learning to focus when the distraction of people and dogs are present.

For others, it’s building high levels of focus, flashy heel commands, or split second downs and sit in motion.

Delightful Dog Training is happy to help with either kind of goal. What is important, first and foremost, is that your dog is biologically having its needs met, both mentally and physically. For some dogs, the drives and instincts inherit in them will require more work and may require more involved approaches.

Different Breeds have been selectively bred for certain characteristics and traits. Some dogs can be incredibly well trained and never make a good service or therapy dog. Some dogs will require very little to have the companion that easily goes everywhere with you. Others will require building motivation to compete with the environment and their natural tendency to be alert, hyper attentive, fixated, or compulsive to their environment. For these dogs, carefully planning experiences, exposure, and building the training piece by piece may be required.
