What age should I start training my dog?

Depending on what age you get your dog, as soon as possible. Does that mean you need to hire a professional trainer? Not necessarily, but if you do need help, or just want to learn more, we can help. 

It’s important that in any program, developmental stages apply. For dogs puppies under 16 weeks of age, the program will be very different than a 6 month old dog, as well as a 3 yr old dog.

Whether you want advice before you get your pup, an early start on learning as early as you get your puppy, or need help with an older dog, we accommodate for all ages and stages in development.

What will I need for lessons?

During your consult this will be discussed. Most clients will benefit from these following items regardless of other tools

6 ft leash (I prefer leather)

16-20 ft long line

Treat pouch

Treats and a favorite interactive toy (ball, tug, frisbee, etc)

Do you work with all breeds?

All breeds are welcome. 

Do you work with aggression?

Aggression comes in many forms and may haven’t a variety of reasons behind it manifesting. All aggression cases are considered on a case by case basis. 

How do I schedule?

ALL SERVICES BEGIN WITH SCHEDULING A CONSULT. This allows a trainer to assess a variety of motivators, goals, and other factors to assist in forming a plan to meet your needs. Consultations will be billed at the time of booking.

Clients that decide to move forward will then be given a chance to schedule. A package is recommended for most cases and should be scheduled ahead.

Clients can either purchase a package up front (the consult charge is deducted from the package) or clients can chose to pay for their next lesson individually. All discounts will be applied to the end of the program to ensure follow through on the client’s part. 

We currently do not allow online booking. This simply allows Delightful Dog Training LLC to manage travel times.  

What kind of payments do you take?

We take all major credit cards. They can be processed online on shop page, or in person through a reader.

We accept Apple Pay, cash, and check as well.

When do I pay?

Payment for consults are handled at booking and can be done online via credit card or in person. 

Lessons can be purchased in a lump sum, or if paying individually, the upcoming lesson must be paid for by the end of the present session. All discounts for packages are applied at the end of a package if paying individually.

Do you offer refunds?

If a consult is cancelled with 48hr notice, a refund will be offered.

Refunds on pre-purchased packages are offered only when a client cancels package within the first two lessons. Refunds on packages are based on SINGLE LESSON PRICES. The cost of each session in a package only apply when a package is completed. 

Exceptions will be considered on an individual basis.
